How it works When you subscribe to our MX backup service, additional MX records are automatically added to the DNS system. Mail is kept for up to 14 days. When your mail server is offline, the mail backup server will begin to queue your messages. When your mail server comes back online, our mail backup servers will automatically attempt to redeliver your mail. Delivery attempts are made every 5 to 30 minutes (this time depends on a number of factors including how long the mail has been queued).
